I highly recommend the G-5600E. It' s got World Time (you can set it when you travel), Day/Date, Power Save Mode (turns off when not used/in dark), Auto Light (comes on when you move wrist up to view watch), 5 different alarms you can set, hourly chime (can be turned ON/OFF), Stopwatch, Countdown Timer. Tough Solar means it recharges when exposed to light and the L/M/H indicator shows you the charge level.
This is a watch you can put on and wear every day without worrying about hitting/scratching/getting wet. It' s water resistant to about 200 metres so swimming, crossing rivers, rain, showers, etc. are not issues. I got this for my brother who works in the oil and gas industry. He borrowed one of my watches once and returned it the next day with horrible scratches so I figured this is one watch he won' t damage or destroy so easily. I looked at the entire range and in terms of bang-for-buck, utility, KISS and all that, this is, IMHO, the best choice.
Absolutely no regrets! Threw it across the room to test it and it works FINE. Wouldn' t dare to do that with a mechanical watch! | | Was this review helpful to you?

The minor flaw is it has the option, even shows the little symbol, to set the watch so when you turn it 90 degrees the light will come on automatically(during the night time). But when I called Casio they told me that function only works on the pathfinder edition (most expensive one). I guess I didn' t read all of the features closely, but why would they have that function available if it doesn' t work, but whatever, now I know. Other than that the watch is great: durable, lightweight, stylish (I personally love the all matte black finish or else I wouldn' t have gotten it), reads excellent in light, LED light works great, the band does not eat at my skin like others I have owned in the past and I love how G shock still has the throw-back squared style watches (another personal favorite). If you are looking for a durable watch with the features it has at a great price (Casio $99, I got it off Bodying for $67 (no shipping)), I would defiantly recommend this watch.
